DTN COMMENTS:  The country is quiet at midday with just a few asking 
prices noted in parts of the South at $233-plus, they are still not 
established in the North, although private sources indicate offers to 
call in at $355 in Eastern Nebraska. Bids remain very elusive at this 
point, and it is looking like significant trade volume will likely be 
delayed until Thursday or later. 

Beef cutouts are lower at midday (choice 356.92 -1.96, select 348.84 -
0.26) with moderate box movement (72.72 lds of choice cuts, 7.09 lds of 
select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 11.61 lds of ground). Both live and 
feeder cattle contracts are mostly modestly lower near the top of 
the noon hour.
